Spencer Manufacturing began over 50 years ago as a division of Spencer Industries, a hydraulic components distributor. It was created in response to the growing need from customers to have a resource for custom-built hydraulic power units and Spencer Industries' recent purchase of the Chain Gear Company that produced the first Belt Slitter machines.

Shortly after that, we began producing ground support equipment and Coldbuster heaters, started building small hose skiving tools we call Strip Zits, and won military contracts for custom air conditioning units. The emergence of the manufacturing division as a successful addition to Spencer Industries was evident.

With the variety of skills and experience our personnel possess, we constantly adapt our products to the point that they appear to be custom made for each customer.

Through design improvements our 2006 ground support heaters produce 50% more heat/minute than our previous model.
