Blending technology and versatility, the Coldbuster “NANOOK” is Spencer’s first indirect-fired GSE heater. Blending technology and versatility, the Coldbuster “NANOOK” is Spencer’s first indirect-fired GSE heater. It is designed to heat Boeing 737’s down to regional and private corporate jets. The NANOOK’s “Instant Heat” will deliver hot air at 170 degrees F above ambient in sub-zero climates.
The sleek design ensures all components are protected, and its retractable towbar can easily transport it on a 3/4 ton pickup truck. Other than its stainless steel burner, the NANOOK uses components that are common, widely available, and at a reasonable cost.
The thermostat controlling the burner allows for variable temperatures delivered through the 12” duct and adapter into the cabin, making the NANOOK versatile for a broad range of aircraft. A simple instrument and control panel, electric start, and multiple safety sensors, including fuel shutoff, make the NANOOK easy to operate while ensuring maximum safety.
Like its name, the NANOOK has been designed for cold weather use. Optional equipment includes a fuel tank pre-heater and engine block heater. We are now taking orders for the NANOOK, and the unit is available in any paint color requested.
